About the instructor
Amy Ruedinger is a multi-media artist working in metals, printmaking, bookmaking and drawing. Her conceptual concerns are inner/outer, past/present, beliefs and balance. She has shown work in numerous galleries throughout the nation. She donated a bowl to the Empty Bowls Exhibition and Benefit in Houston, Texas. Her cast bronze book, Belief Bones, won the Dan Favor Memorial Award at the Unconventional Wisconsin exhibit. She won a Merit Award in painting from NAEA, published artwork in Cutbank Literary Magazine and won an outstanding Educator Award from Scholastic. Amy earned a BS in Fine Art from Madison, Wisconsin, a MFA in Mixed Media from PSU Portland, Oregon and has a Teaching Certificate at the secondary level. She also lived and studied art and Spanish in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico and metals in Santa Clara del Cobre, Michoacan, Mexico.
