Do you love to create? Do you want to be involved in community art projects? Are you concerned with social justice, ecology, and contemporary issues? The Elisabeth Jones Art Center is dedicated to community involved projects and would like to welcome you to be a part of our mission.
The Artistic Sketchbook - We are looking for great drawings buried in the pages of your sketchbooks, to exhibit November 23 - December 25, 2018. Sketches will be sold for $50 each, with a 50% commission going to the artist, 40% to the Elisabeth Jones Art Center, and 10% being donated to Central City Concern.
A World Without Ice - If you're concerned with the plight of the Polar Bear and use Polar Bears as a subject matter in your work, we would love to hear from you. $250 for chosen artists.
Tree Emergency Response Team - Join a group of painters for a weekend of plein air painting in St. Johns, Oregon. Our next available painting session is October 13th & 14th from 11am-3pm. $200 for chosen artist(s).
A Calling of Birds - We are looking to exhibit a new artist each month. The focus is to raise awareness of endangered birds. $250 for chosen artist.
For the Seventh Generation- Each artist is responsible for choosing a section of the Washington, Oregon, or California coast and doing a 4x2 foot painting of the location as a part of a 100 year project. $500 for chosen artist(s).
Encyclical - Everyone and everything is related and there is a fundamental obligation to care for one another, the planet, and our diverse ecosystem. $500 for chosen artist(s)
The Tenacity of Remembering - We are looking for an artist(s) who are interested in creating an interactive community project that deals with the issue of Tibet. $1500 for chosen artist(s)
