The Elisabeth Jones Art Center is home to a group of artists who participate in collaborative projects. The work created is often large-scale and ambitious! As a crucial component of the programming at the Elisabeth Jones Art Center, each project is inspired by a contemporary, crucial social or environmental issue, and a fundraiser that directly benefits an individual or organization working toward making a positive change.
EJ ART CoLAB, original composition by Joanne Kollman with additional participation by Jessica Lynn Clark and John Teply "It’s a Magical Place" Project- No Place Like Home: a collection of works reflecting on Honduran voices seeking asylum and amnesty in the United States acrylic on wood panel 48 inches x 32 inches, 2018
Collaborations are based on mostly non-verbal communication through painting. Through different painting sessions, each artist takes turns working on different paintings. Each artist has the autonomy to add to or paint over any parts of the existing painting that they wished to change. The only question to ask is, “what can I do to improve this painting?”
