CALL FOR ARTISTS
MY VOTE COUNTS
A community interactive project dealing with voter suppression.
SUBMISSION DEADLINE: JUNE 15, 2019
The Elisabeth Jones Art Center is looking for an Interactive Community Project dealing with voter suppression. The most desirable project will be national in scope and not tailored for the “art club” (MFA’s, curators, artists, etc.) but to a broader audience. The Art Center is open to installation work, performance, and mail art. We are open to having a project that unfolds in two parts. One part taking place this summer, 2019, and the second part taking place in October of 2020. If the selected project is designed for one exhibition, the project should be concluded for exhibition by October of 2020.
We are offering $1500 for the right project.
We will be looking at applications as we receive them, so it is best to submit a proposal before the deadline.
The Director is available to discuss your project ideas before you submit them. We encourage you to start a conversation to help determine if your proposal is resonant with what we are looking for.
Send submissions to John Teply at firstname.lastname@example.org.
