This archival print is of a painting by our in-house group of artists, the EJAC Painting CoLAB. The piece was inspired by a quote from an interview with Ken Blackbird, who was a Water Protector and documentary photographer at the Standing Rock Protests.

“Yeah and they had drones flying overhead and airplanes and helicopters. All day and all night. Itwas never quiet, every time you looked down or up the road, there's highway patrol’s cars, sheriff’s cars. I mean there was private trucks, private cars, everywhere. I mean there was no one at camp that had a weapon, there was noalcohol, there was no drugs, nothing.”
